What you will need:

  • A sheet of thick paper or watercolor paper (for the pages);
  • Cover: thin cardboard, leather, or thick fabric;
  • Sewing needle and thread (can be replaced with a stapler or glue);
  • Metal ring or chain fittings;
  • Chain or string for hanging;
  • Glue (Moment Crystal, hot glue gun, or PVA);
  • Decorations: mini pendants, beads, stickers, stamps.

Steps:

  1. Assemble the pages of the mini-book

Cut out 6–8 small rectangles (for example, 3×4 cm). Fold them in half — these will be the pages. You can write something by hand inside right away: names, dates, short poems, phrases like “you are always mine.”

  1. Make the cover

Cut a rectangle out of cardboard, leather, or fabric that is slightly larger than the pages. This will be the cover. If desired, cover it with paper, add decorative paper, stamps, embossing, or gold marker.

  1. Sew or glue the block

Stack the pages and sew them together in the middle (along the fold) like a small book. You can secure everything with glue or a stapler. Glue the cover on the outside.

  1. Add the hardware

Make a hole in the corner of the cover with an awl or a thick needle. Insert a small metal ring, which will be used to attach the book to the chain.

  1. Assemble the necklace

Thread the ring onto a chain or cord. If desired, add pendants — a heart, a key, initials.

Design ideas:

  • Use craft paper and handwritten inscriptions for a vintage look;
  • Add dried flowers, mini stickers, or decals;
  • Insert a photo strip (for example, 2 mini photos inside the book);
  • Make several “volumes” — with dates, memories, plans.
