Hello friends!

As I mentioned in my Happy New Year post, things are going to be changing a bit around here in 2016.

I’ve spent a long time thinking about this site and my goals for it (and took an extended period of time away from frequent updating so I could truly decide what I wanted to do).

The truth is, personally I’ve drifted away from the being on-trend, DIY the latest designer pieces, make and make and make…consume more and more and more. It’s been a long time coming, and I’m sure my long-time readers could tell that I just didn’t have my heart in making the latest clothing, accessories, or jewelry any more. Don’t get me wrong, I still love to create things – but now my focus is on fewer, better things; more beautiful, satisfying things. A curated closet rather than a closet bursting at the seams with stuff that just isn’t “me.”

Once upon a time, Chic Steals meant chic ideas “stolen” from the runways and chic items for cheap. I began to feel that it wasn’t truly what I wanted to share with all of you.

So here’s where I’m going with this: Chic Steals will now be a place for a chic life, lived frugally. Glamour on a budget. Glitter with a glue gun. (Props to Mr. Kate for that awesome title!!)  Fabulousness – for less. And here are a few new series that you’ll be seeing soon…and hopefully you will be as excited about as I am:

DIY: I’ll still be sharing DIY tutorials, but less frequently. They may be clothing, jewelry, accessories, or home decor, but they’ll still be how to create beautiful things on a budget, with your own unique twist.

Chic Tip: A weekly series of tips, tricks, and short how-to’s for streamlining your life and adding efficiency and glam to your every day.

DIY Home: Ideas for creating a beautiful space, centralized around a theme.

Creativity Tip: Tips on how become more creative, tap into your inner glam goddess, and explode your own unique possibilities.

Email Challenges: Soon to be announced, I’ll be challenging you every day to take a step in DIY’ing your life into fabulous. Totally free and fun – you’ll get a new challenge each day in your inbox when you sign up.

E-Courses: Yes, indeedy, I’m going to be offering some very special courses I’ve been working on some time, that revolve around DIY, creativity, crafting, and, of course, blogging.

(And, of course…a new logo!)

Stay tuned – this all launches tomorrow!

Want to stay updated? The easiest way is to sign up to receive a weekly digest of posts in your inbox. The email arrives on Monday mornings with all of last week’s posts in it.
