Wow, that’s a lot of DIY’s all thrown together in one outfit!

Outfit 2.13.13: Spiked Damask and a Ton of DIYs I am often sartorially challenged (I feel) and sometimes to break through the what-to-wear dilemma I just start throwing things I’ve made together and see where it goes.  I tend to have a lot of DIY accessories (see above) so it just so happened that together they seemed to go, and the clothing was more of an afterthought. Outfit 2.13.13: Spiked Damask and a Ton of DIYs And maybe, just maybe, the longer cardigan length is to cover up the sadly squishy results of just a few too many afternoons loafing about on the couch…or, *ahem* in front of my sewing machine, DIY’ing something…but in order to make it a little less shameful cover-up and a little more trendy I decided to tuck the front bit in, sharkbite-hem-style.  Totally do-able and costs absolutely nothing!!  Whereas this somewhat similar style will set you back $286.

Outfit 2.13.13: Spiked Damask and a Ton of DIYs And these damask jeans make me so happy.  Though due to aforementioned loafing, I am toying with the idea of exchanging them for a size up.  But still.  Crazy, happy, intertwined floral-motif is enough no matter what size it comes in.  Outfit 2.13.13: Spiked Damask and a Ton of DIYs

Outfit 2.13.13: Spiked Damask and a Ton of DIYs …And I can only explain the hat with “bad hair day.”  Nails are a pale neutral translucent color (a Sally Hansen Maximum Growth formula if I remember correctly), with Sephora Traffic-Stopper Copper layered on the tips.

In other news, I’m thinking of trying Zumba for the Playstation…Has anyone tried it and enjoyed it?  The reviews on Amazon aren’t so good…    Outfit 2.13.13: Spiked Damask and a Ton of DIYs

Hope everyone’s having a great week so far!

I adore the spiked choker. I think it and the spiked cuffs are brilliant…literally two days ago I had been considering buying a spiked bracelet thing because I thought it wasn’t DIYable!

also, are the damask pants like denim/cotton, or that sortof coated cottony feeling some F21 pants have?

Thanks, Topato! The damask pants are a stretchy cotton denim…they feel like mostly spandex or viscose with a small percentage of denim mixed in. Very lightweight, almost like leggings!
